Southampton have confirmed the signing of central defender Keven Schlotterbeck from FC Augsburg on a three-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 29-year-old left-footer arrives with 152 Bundesliga appearances across spells with SC Freiburg, Union Berlin, VfL Bochum and Augsburg. He made 48 appearances for Augsburg and captained the club 16 times during the 2025/26 season.
Schlotterbeck also represented Germany at the Tokyo Olympics. Group Sporting Director Johannes Spors said Saints had identified the need for a left-footed centre-back and highlighted the new arrival’s experience, physical qualities and leadership.
The signing adds an experienced option to Tonda Eckert’s defence ahead of Saturday’s Championship meeting with Millwall. Southampton’s announcement does not disclose a fee, and the move remains subject to international clearance.
